We honestly get it. We really do. It is far easier to get wrapped up in negativity these days than it is to see the silver lining and a lot of us can get kinda confused when it comes to what we’re even supposed to be happy about.

Despite this confusion we all get at some point in our lives, it’s important to remember that there is always something to be happy about, no matter how small.

Instead of dwelling on the things we can’t control, like politics or the local news, we have to spend more time focusing on the things we’re truly grateful for.

As you have that morning coffee or begin your routine in your own special way, think of and write down 2 or 3 things in your life you’re really, truly grateful for–or simply just put them in your notes on your phone, it has the same effect. We know this isn’t a new exercise in concept; but we doubt many of you have actually given it a try. So, why not try it now?

You’ll be surprised at how your outlook on life changes when you start thinking of things you love more often. One shot of positivity can change how you see your whole day.
