If you’re still struggling to feel grateful, try this simple exercise:

Give it Up

Consider giving up something that you enjoy for a few days. It could be your morning coffee, your reading time with a good book, or even social media. Consider the little things that you don’t usually think about and put them on “hold” for a little while.

It may seem silly at first, but pretty soon you’ll probably start missing the thing you gave up. If you miss it, you’re likely to appreciate it all the more when you go back to it. This is a great exercise to get you thinking about the positives you have in your life.

Sometimes the greatest joys can come from the places we rarely remember to look. You can make the most out of every day by living in the present and loving what’s in front of you.
